WHO ARE WE AND WHY DO WE BREED?

 

PhD biomedical research student Tayelor Galbraith has completed an undergraduate degree in biotechnology and molecular biology, graduating with first-class honours. Her lifelong passion for genetic engineering and dog training has led to her involvement in promoting and training Smooth Fox Terriers for the show ring, tracking, and obedience. Initially, Tayelor started with training her two miniature schnauzers aged 8 years old, and this love extended to training in agility and obedience.

 

She had many setbacks when attempting to become an established preservation breeder due to the unfortunate popularity of her first breed, miniature schnauzers, where registered breeders were selling stud dogs with serious health issues for money. This experience and disappointment led to her involvement with Smooth Fox Terriers. After owning her first Smooth Fox Terrier and falling in love with the breed, she became a passionate advocate for Smooth Fox Terriers. She now spends her time studying breed pedigrees and improving the breed by breeding dogs with better temperament, health, and conformation for the show ring.
